Al-Akhbar: The United States has called for consultations with Hezbollah.
A Lebanese source reported that Washington had asked to contact Hezbollah officials to discuss some issues, which the movement strongly rejected.
A Lebanese newspaper reported that Washington had asked for consultations with Lebanese Hezbollah officials.
According to a report by Al-Akhbar today (Tuesday), some mediators have recently sent a message from the US government to Hezbollah, calling for a link to the movement to investigate Lebanon.
Al-Akhbar wrote without elaborating that Hezbollah had informed the mediators that it would have no contact with the Americans.
Lebanese journalist Hussein Morteza tweeted that Seyed Hashem Safi al-Din, chairman of the executive council of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, had stated in a program: “The Americans tried and hoped to communicate with the Hezbollah leadership. Have”.
According to the Lebanese journalist, the head of Hezbollah’s executive council added: “This message was conveyed by one of the mediators. “They have expressed a willingness and willingness to negotiate anything.”
“Hezbollah rejected [the request] without any discussion,” the statement continued.
The report comes as the US government has not yet responded to the report and has not endorsed or denied it.
The Americans have already made demands of Hezbollah, which in all cases has categorically rejected Washington’s demands.
In this regard, Al-Mayadin reported last year that Tel Aviv had sent a message to Hezbollah through the United Nations, urging the movement not to retaliate against its martyred forces.
However, al-Mayadin reported that Hezbollah categorically rejected the Zionist regime’s message and reiterated its position.
