The turnout of the French presidential election remains low.
The turnout in the presidential election was lower than in the previous round, media reported, quoting the French Interior Ministry.
Voter turnout in the first round of the French presidential election was 65% by 5pm local time on Sunday, down from 69.42% in the 2017 vote, the French Interior Ministry said.

The top two candidates, a total of 12, will then advance to the second round on April 24.
