The trip of the American envoy to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi to extend the ceasefire in Yemen.
The US envoy in Yemen traveled to Saudi Arabia in an effort to extend the ceasefire in this country.
“Timothy Linderking”, the American envoy in Yemen, started a trip to Saudi Arabia on Thursday (yesterday) in an effort to extend the ceasefire in Yemen.
The US State Department announced in a statement that Linderking will travel to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in an effort to extend and expand the ceasefire under the supervision of the United Nations in Yemen.
According to the report of Al-Khalij Online website, the US State Department also accused Yemen’s Ansarullah movement of disrupting the ceasefire and added: “We remind the Houthis that the world is watching your behavior, we urge them to cooperate with the United Nations and listen.” We encourage Yemenis to call for peace because the only way to end eight years of devastating war is to establish a ceasefire and a political settlement so that Yemenis can determine the future of their country.”
The two-month ceasefire in Yemen, with the mediation of the UN’s special envoy to the country, ended after twice being extended until October 2 (10 October), and after that, Brigadier Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, sent a message on Twitter to all oil companies in UAE and Saudi Arabia warned to leave these countries quickly.
He clarified that this warning will remain until the American-Saudi aggressor countries adhere to a ceasefire that does not give the Yemeni nation the right to exploit its oil wealth to pay the salaries of Yemeni government employees.
