The Taliban wants good relations with the countries of the world.
Abdul Kabir attended the ceremony to begin the process of transferring Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and asked those who had traveled abroad after the developments in the country to return to the country.
He added: “The Islamic Emirate wants good, friendly and brotherly relations with all countries of the world and Muslims. We have a good and brotherly message with Islamic countries.”
Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Taliban’s second deputy chief of staff, also attended the transfer of Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia at Kabul Airport, saying that more than 13,000 Afghans would attend the Hajj this year.
The first group of Afghan pilgrims left Kabul for Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
This is the first time since the re-emergence of the Taliban in Afghanistan that Afghan pilgrims have traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
