Sheikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani told a news conference today that when the changes in the education system are ready and finalized, the day of the reopening of state universities will be announced, and this issue will be announced in less than a week.
Emphasizing that any subject that violates the Islamic law will be eliminated, he said: “Mixed classes for girls and boys are not acceptable and changes will be made in the curriculum.”
Sheikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani said the Taliban allow women to study at universities as well as pursue higher education, provided they observe the hijab and the right to wear legal clothing and that classes are not mixed.
