The Sultan of Oman’s written message to the Saudi King about Yemen.
Saudi media reported that the Sultan of Oman had sent a written message to the Shah about the developments in Yemen.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi met with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan during a visit to Riyadh.
In this meeting, bilateral relations, strategies to strengthen these relations, as well as regional and international issues of common interest were discussed.
The Saudi Foreign Minister (WAS) reported that the Omani Foreign Minister presented a written message from the Sultan of Oman “Haitham bin Tariq bin Timur” to the Saudi King “Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud”.
According to the report, in this message, the Sultan of Oman has discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen these relations in all fields.
Although the Saudi news agency did not provide details of Sultan Haytham’s message, the Rai Al-Youm newspaper wrote that Sultan Haytham’s message contained information about Oman’s efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
On the other hand, referring to Oman’s efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida reported on the Oman Initiative, which has four clauses.
During its visit to Sanaa and meeting with Ansar al-Islam leaders, the Omani delegation discussed four issues: the establishment of a ceasefire, the entry into peace talks with the Yemeni side, the arrival of ships carrying oil products in the port of Al-Hudaidah, and the start of direct talks. Also the reopening of Sanaa Airport.
