The Saudi coalition seized 25,000 tons of fuel sent to the Yemeni people.
The Yemeni National Oil Company announced that the Saudi coalition has seized a fuel-carrying ship for the Yemeni people that had received a permit from the United Nations.
The Yemeni Oil Company announced this morning (Wednesday) that the Saudi coalition had seized a fuel tanker for the Yemeni people, according to the International Group News Agency.
The Yemeni Oil Company said in a statement that the Saudi coalition had seized the C-Helios ship carrying 25,000 tonnes of diesel for the Yemeni people, according to Al-Masira.
According to the statement, despite the fact that the ship has received a permit from the United Nations, the Saudi coalition will not allow it to reach the port of Al-Hudaidah (western Yemen).
The Yemeni National Oil Company has previously stated that the Saudi coalition will continue to seize Yemeni oil tankers.
The Yemeni National Oil Company also criticized the United Nations and its envoy for not complying with its obligations to import fuel into Yemen and for supporting the Saudi aggression coalition.
Saudi Arabia, at the head of an Arab coalition backed by the United States, has launched a military aggression against Yemen and imposed a land, air and sea blockade on April 26, 2015, claiming that it was trying to bring the resigned Yemeni president back to power.
The military aggression did not achieve any of the goals of the Saudi coalition and was only accompanied by the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Yemenis, the displacement of millions, the destruction of the country’s infrastructure and the spread of famine and infectious diseases.
