The Reason Behind Israel Not Providing Strategic Weapons To Ukraine.
With increasing diplomatic pressure, Ukraine is seeking to receive strategic weapons such as the Iron Dome missile defense system from Tel Aviv, but on the other hand, Moscow has sent a message through unofficial channels to the government of Ben-Lapid and now to Netanyahu that any military assistance to Kiev can strengthen Syria’s air defense against Israeli air attacks and the development of Tehran-Moscow military relations. In the midst of this political-security campaign, Tel Aviv plans to highlight the threat of Iran and the possibility of transferring Israeli technology to the enemy’s front, to remove the fear of Moscow’s possible reaction from the focus of analysis and the media. Of course, this does not mean stopping the export of Israeli weapons, such as electronic warfare systems, to Ukraine. In other words, in this media game, the Israelis seek to escape from the consequences of the forced choice between Russia and Ukraine.
With the beginning of Russian military operations in Ukraine, Tel Aviv, as part of the Western bloc, condemned this war and started sending civilian aid to Ukraine. According to the Washington Institute, despite the significant population of Russians in the occupied territories, during recent polls, most Zionists declared that they support Ukraine in the war. However, Israel’s fear of the Syrian front and the increase of Iran’s maneuvering space in the region have caused the Israeli regime to refrain from arming the neo-Nazis in Kiev. In other words, Tel Aviv, as the largest recipient of military-financial aid from the United States and the main partner of the NATO treaty, has been neutral until now due to regional considerations and the fear of Russia’s possible reaction.
