The reaction of Washington’s ambassador to the killing of an American citizen in Baghdad.
In response to the killing of a citizen of this country in Baghdad, the American ambassador in Iraq claimed that this person was brutally killed.
Elina Romanovsky, the American ambassador to Iraq, reacted to the death of one of the citizens of this country in Baghdad.
By publishing a message on his Twitter page, Romanovsky described the killing of this American citizen as “barbaric” and said that he appreciates the messages of the Iraqi people.
Without mentioning the activities of this American citizen in Iraq, he claimed: “Stephen personally did what he liked and that was working with the Iraqi people.”
A security source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Monday evening that an American citizen was killed in the center of Baghdad.
This source said: Unknown gunmen shot at a Prado car in al-Karade area in the center of Baghdad, which killed the citizen in the car.
Hours later, Iraqi sources, citing the Canadian Armed Forces, reported that one of the country’s officers had died in Baghdad under “ambiguous circumstances.”
The official page of the Canadian Armed Forces wrote on its Twitter page: Eric Cheung died in non-operational conditions in Baghdad this Saturday. An investigation has been started on this incident.
More details about these two incidents have not been published by the responsible Iraqi forces.
