The Prime Minister of Canada has accused Putin of war crimes.
Following Western allegations against Russia in Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Canada also accused the Russian military of committing war crimes in that country.
The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, who paid an unannounced visit to Ukraine on Sunday, met with President Volodymyr Zelinsky in Kiev.
According to MSN News, in a meeting with Zlensky, Trudeau accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of committing war crimes in Ukraine. An action that has been taken in concert by Russian leaders against Russian officials in recent weeks.
“It is clear that Vladimir Putin is responsible for the heinous war crimes and there must be an answer,” Trudeau told a joint news conference with Zelensky.
Prior to meeting Zelensky, Trudeau visited the Irpin district on the outskirts of Kiev, a city of 600,000 people where Russian forces had clashed with Ukrainian troops.
“I witnessed first and foremost the brutality of Russia’s illegal war,” the Canadian prime minister told reporters after the visit.
Trudeau’s visit to Kiev on Sunday coincided with the visit of US President Jill Biden to Ukraine.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz backed Ukraine in its anti-Russian rhetoric against Moscow. “Putin will not win this war,” he said in a televised speech Sunday. “Ukraine will persevere.”
Germany will help Ukraine with humanitarian, financial and military assistance, the German chancellor said. He stated that there would be no peace dictated by Russia.
