The Information Department of the Iraqi Army Command in Karbala province announced the presence of 20,000 security forces to ensure the security of Arbaeen Hosseini (PBUH) walk.
Colonel “Fahm al-Kariti”, the director of the information department of the Iraqi army in the command of “Karbala operations” announced today (Saturday) in a conversation with the media about the participation of 20,000 security and military forces to ensure the security of the Arbaeen pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
According to Moazin News website, he also said that in the Arbaeen walk security plan, army fighters and helicopters, drones and thermal cameras are also used. According to him, the army forces have started cleaning and securing the areas around Karbala to the Anbar desert some time ago.
Colonel “Fahm al-Kariti” further said that the military and security forces will also work to provide services to pilgrims in addition to ensuring the security of the roads.
Pointing out that “the security plan for this year will be more efficient”, Al-Kariti said: “The goal of the security operation is to maintain security and stability and to prevent wanted persons and terrorist elements from infiltrating the region through the surrounding desert areas.”
On the other hand, Ali Al-Hamdani, the commander of the “Central Euphrates” operation in Al-Hashd al-Shaabi organization, also said that this military-people organization will also participate in ensuring the security of the Arbaeen Hosseini (PBUH) walking route in coordination with the army and police command.
According to him, Al-Hashd al-Shaabi will install 12 thermal cameras with a range of 35 km and use drones with a range of 150 km and 30 km, and also the forces of this organization will be deployed in most axes to provide services to visitors in addition to providing security. to pay
