The official collaboration of Tel Aviv and Facebook against Palestine.
In a program, Al Jazeera network has announced the dimensions of the cooperation of the Zionist spying and internal security organization known as Shin Bet with the social network Facebook to remove the desired contents of this organization.
According to this report, the former head of Shin Bet’s cyber unit has confirmed cooperation with Facebook to remove anti-Israeli content.
In this report, Al Jazeera reporters created two Facebook pages in Arabic and Hebrew and revealed the amount of contradiction in dealing with the content of these two pages by Facebook.
The member of the Supervisory Board of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has also stated in a conversation that we recognize the excessive restriction on Arabic and Palestinian content and are looking to change this practice.
According to this report, despite Facebook’s removal and restriction of posts by Palestinians and content related to Palestine, the company has never banned or restricted inflammatory posts in Hebrew that call for the killing of Arabs, and these posts even in cases of obvious terrorist nature. have not been restricted on Facebook. This dual treatment on Facebook against content related to Palestine and the Zionist regime has caused Palestinian Arabs and users of news related to Palestine to face obvious and discriminatory censorship on this social network.
According to this report, Facebook still bans the use of the word “martyr” for Palestinians but does not have similar restrictions for Israelis.
Even reports from Israel’s cyber unit show that Facebook has accepted thousands of Shin Bet requests to remove Palestinian content. In fact, at the request of the Zionists, Facebook has deliberately removed many contents and information related to the developments in Palestine.
This is not the first time that the American network Facebook is accused of taking action against Palestine. Two years ago, Facebook removed and closed a number of pages of Palestinian activists. These Palestinian activists exposed the crimes of the Zionist regime on Facebook and opposed the normalization of relations with this regime, but suddenly their user page was unavailable. After this action, Facebook did not give any convincing reason to these Palestinian activists regarding closing their pages.
Censorship of Palestinian issues on Facebook is such that in December 2020, the company closed a page related to Palestinian refugees with more than 100,000 followers and never announced the reason for this. It now appears that the closing of these pages in the past years was all likely done by Facebook at the request of Israel’s Shin Bet.
Many Palestinian activists believe that Facebook is colluding with the Zionist regime to silence the voice of the Palestinian nation; A nation that suffers from siege and occupation. In this regard, Palestinian activist Mohammad Rafiq al-Sanwar emphasized that Facebook’s action is a war against the Palestinian resistance. He added: “Closing these pages will not help Israel and we are still steadfast in our path.”
