The number of people infected with the Covid-19 virus in Saudi Arabia reached 403,106 patients, of whom more than 6,801 died, and now more than a thousand are reported to be seriously ill.
Saudi Arabia has confirmed 964 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 403,106, according to the Ministry of Health.
The majority of new cases were detected in the city of Riyadh with a total of 402, the city of Mecca had 215 while Medina saw 39 new cases.
An additional 918 people also recovered from the infection, taking the total number of recoveries to 387,020.
Meanwhile, the death toll reached 6,801 after 10 people died due to COVID-19-related complications.
The Ministry of Health announced today in a statement that 964 new confirmed cases of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 403,106, including 9,285 active cases.
Of these, there are 1,034 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable, the statement said.
It added that 10 new deaths have been reported, putting the tally of fatalities at 6,801.
Meanwhile, as many as 918 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 387,020.
On the other hand, 53,744 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
