The new wave of arrests in eastern Arabia.
Saudi opposition sources reported that the country’s security forces have started a new wave of arrests in the eastern regions of Saudi Arabia.
Ahed News reported that last July, the Saudi security services carried out heavy raids in Qatif, Al-Ahsa and Al-Dammam and arrested Sara Al-Ali from Al-Ahsa without any preliminaries. These forces also arrested Abdul Majeed bin Haji Al-Ahmad, who is one of the professors of the seminary.
According to this news site, Saudi forces also arrested Hossein Rajab, Hossein Al-Mutawa and Musa Ali Al-Khenezi. Al Saud opposition sources said that the common denominator of these arrests was the media activity of these people; Because they were active in social networks and news platforms and had an approach that contradicted the policy of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
These sources stated that these arrested people are deprived of communication with their families until this moment, and clarified: Saudi forces have taken all their means of communication.
The mentioned sources pointed out that the Al Saud officials are preventing the citizens of this country from living freely and expressed their regret over the conditions of the imprisonment of “Mortaji Qurayris”, the youngest political prisoner in Saudi Arabia.
According to these sources, he is the brother of Martyr Ali Qariris, who was martyred by the Saudi authorities on December 23, 2011, while attending a peaceful protest march in Al-Qatif. He is the son of one of the former detainees named Abdullah Qariris. His other two brothers are still in custody and one of them is threatened with execution at any moment.
Al Saud opposition sources also said that Morteji was arrested and sentenced to death as a child while riding a bicycle. The so-called court against Saudi terrorism reduced his execution to 12 years after international pressure. Therefore, the Saudi authorities only reduced his punishment out of necessity.
