The lawmaker critical of the Zionist regime was expelled from the American congressional committee.
The Muslim representative of the US Congress, who is a critic of the Zionist regime, was expelled from the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives.
Republican representatives of the US Congress voted to expel Ilhan Omar, a Muslim congressman, from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives.
Ilhan Omar is one of the critics of the Zionist regime, and his dismissal from this committee is considered a victory for “Kevin McCarthy”, the Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives, who promised long ago that he would try to expel Omar from the said committee.
The resolution calling for the dismissal of Ilhan Omar received 218 votes in favor and 211 against. The representatives voted for this resolution according to their respective party, in the sense that the Democrats opposed it and the Republicans voted in favor of it.
The drafter of this resolution was “Max Miller”, a Jewish member of the House of Representatives, who is a staunch supporter of the Zionist regime. Previously, he had called Ilhan Omar’s criticism of the Zionist regime as “anti-Semitic”.
In a part of this resolution, it is stated that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives is seen all over the world as an institution that reflects the voice of the Congress in matters of national and international importance, and Ilhan Omar has lost his qualification to participate in this committee with his positions. .
Ilhan Omar, who is a refugee from Somalia and one of the two Muslim representatives of the US Congress, defended himself before this vote. He said: “There is this idea that if you are an immigrant or you are from a certain part of the world or you are a Muslim or you have a certain skin color, you are under suspicion.”
