The latest details of the assassination of “Shinzo Abe”; The motive of the murder is out.”
The killer of the former prime minister of Japan has admitted his motive for the assassination during interrogations.
Japanese police have identified Tetsuya Yamagami, the 41-year-old person who assassinated Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, with a homemade weapon on Friday (July 8/18).
During interrogations, Yamagami explained to the police his motive for the assassination, saying that Shinzo Abe had connections with a “special organization” that he had a grudge against. Yamagami said that his grudge had no political origin.
Japanese media and international media have not mentioned the name of this “special organization”. The New York Post wrote that the police did not mention the name of this organization or its beliefs, and it is not clear whether such an organization exists abroad or not. Some Japanese media have said that the organization mentioned by Yamagami was a religious organization.
Minutes after Yamagami shot the Japanese Prime Minister during a campaign speech in the city of Nara, he was thrown to the ground by the security forces and arrested. After carrying out the assassination operation, he did not make any attempt to escape.
Al Jazeera news channel quoted the Japanese police as reporting that Yamagami calmly answered questions during the interrogations, and the police are trying to determine whether he carried out the operation alone or not. Yamagami told the police that he learned about Abe’s arrival in Nara through the Internet.
The Forbes website introduced Yamagami as a resident of Nara city and wrote that he worked for 3 years in the “Japanese Naval Defense Forces”. Yamagami was unemployed before the attack.
