The latest physical condition of Salman Rushdie in the hospital.
A media source, quoting Salman Rushdi’s relatives, reported that the renegade writer came out from under the ventilator, but other sources say that his condition is still critical.
Al Jazeera published a new report about the latest situation of Salman Rushdie, the apostate author of Ayat Shaitani.
According to this report, one of Salman Rushdie’s friends and also the director of this renegade writer’s program have reported that he came out from under the ventilator one day after the attack on him in New York.
Atish Taseer, one of Salman Rushdie’s friends, claimed in a tweet about his condition that he came out from under the ventilator. This claim has been made while Western media sources have once again reported on his deteriorating condition on Sunday.
On the other hand, according to Al Jazeera’s report, “Andrew Wiley”, the manager of Salman Rushdie’s 75-year-old program, confirmed the news of his exit from the ventilator, but did not mention more details.
The publication of this news was done in the context that the New York police on Saturday morning announced the identity of the person who attacked and wounded the apostate author who insulted the beloved Prophet of Islam (PBUH), as a 24-year-old youth named “Hadi Matar”. It is said that Matar was a resident of the city of “Fairview” in the state of New Jersey.
According to reports, Hadi Matar has been charged with attempted second-degree murder for attacking Salman Rushdie and second-degree assault for injuring the moderator of the meeting. Matar is being held without bail in the Shattauqua County Jail in New York.
Salman Rushdie was attacked at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, when he was about to give a speech at the Chautauqua Center in West New York.
This renegade writer had provoked the anger of Muslims after the publication of his novel “Evil Verses” in 1367 AH. For this reason, he had turned to a secret life with strict security conditions. After the publication of this book, Imam Khomeini (RA) issued a fatwa on his apostasy.
US prosecutors announced that Rushdi, who has faced death threats for more than 30 years because of his book “Saitan Verses”, was stabbed 10 times during Matar’s attack.
