According to Shafaq News, Iraqi Interior Minister Abd al-Amir al-Shammari announced that the number of foreign pilgrims who participated in the Arbaeen ceremony of Hosseini (PBUH) has increased.
He further added: The number of these foreign pilgrims who have entered Iraq to participate in the Arbaeen Hosseini (PBUH) ceremony has been increasing and has reached four million people so far.
Al-Shammari continued: All security forces are preparing for the beginning of the wave of pilgrims returning to their countries, and no security problems have been reported so far.
He clarified: The efforts of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior to continue the implementation of the compiled plans for the Arbaeen Hosseini (PBUH) ceremony have increased simultaneously with the increase in the number of pilgrims.
Yesterday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, presenting new statistics on the number of pilgrims who entered the country, announced that about 3.6 million pilgrims have entered Iraq since the beginning of the Arbaeen ceremony.
In the statement of the Ministry of Interior of Iraq, it is stated: The High-Security Committee for Arbaeen security, headed by Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the Minister of Interior of Iraq, continues its activities in all areas and routes of pilgrims to Karbala and is on full intelligence, security, and service alertness.
It is emphasized in this statement: The measures for the entry of pilgrims from all Iraqi border crossings, including Al-Mundariyah, Zarbatiyah, Al-Sheib, Shalamcheh, Safwan, Mendali, Kirkuk, Al-Qaim, Baghdad Airport, Najaf Airport and Basra Airport, have been facilitated.
The Ministry of Interior of Iraq stated: 8 thousand 478 vehicles and 132 thousand 879 new pilgrims have entered Iraq, and with this calculation, the total number of foreign Arbaeen pilgrims is 3 million 587 thousand 959 people.
