The Grand Mufti of Oman emphasized the need to boycott the Zionist regime.
Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of Oman, announced his support for the plan to expand sanctions against the Zionist regime, which was recently approved by the Omani Parliament, in a tweet on Saturday.
He wrote on Twitter: “We strongly support the project to intensify the embargo on the Zionist regime, which includes a complete embargo on trade and other sectors, due to the continued aggression of the Zionist regime and their indifference to the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people.” This is a part of the principle of obligatory brotherhood among Muslims.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the Omani Parliament voted in favor of intensifying the sanctions against the Zionist regime, which includes sports, cultural and economic activities with this regime.
Accordingly, the decree of the Kingdom of Oman emphasizes the prohibition of direct or indirect contracts with organizations or persons based in the occupied lands. This royal decree also prohibits trading with companies that have interests or branches in the occupied territories.
The amendment proposal approved in the Omani Parliament actually means expanding and intensifying the sanctions against the Zionist regime from Oman. Last summer, the Zionist media reported that Oman has opposed the regime’s request to open its airspace to the regime’s passenger planes.
