According to Russia Today, the National People’s Congress of China, which is considered the highest legislative body in this country, agreed to the appointment of General “Li Shangfu” as the new Minister of Defense of China.
According to this report, during today’s meeting of the National People’s Congress of China, 65-year-old Shang Fu was appointed as the country’s new defense minister.
In 2018, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions against the Education Department of China’s Central Military Council, as well as General Shang Fu, who headed the department.
This action of America at that time was done under the pretext of the military cooperation of the said department with Russia.
Many analysts believe that this action by China can cause tension between the US and this country in military fields.
