The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that the first flight of Pakistan Airlines (PIA) arrived today (Friday) for the first time in ten years at Damascus International Airport.
According to the report, the arrival of the plane in Syria will pave the way for the return of air traffic between the two countries, which was suspended ten years ago.
The report comes as the Syrian Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a statement that flights from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad airports to Damascus and vice versa would be resumed.
