The European Union has called for an immediate end to tensions in occupied Palestine.
Following the recent Israeli aggression against the Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the European Union issued a statement calling for an end to tensions in Jerusalem and the prevention of casualties.
In a statement posted on its official website today (Tuesday), the European Union (EU) called for an end to recent tensions between Palestinians and Zionists at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“The dramatic increase in violence in the occupied West Bank, including in East Jerusalem (East Jerusalem) as well as in and around Gaza, must be stopped,” the European Union (EU) said in a statement. “Stop immediately.”
“All leaders have a responsibility to take action against extremists,” the European Union said in a statement, calling rocket fire from Zaza into Zionist settlements “unacceptable.” The current state of the holy places must be fully respected. “We reiterate our call on all parties to engage in de-escalation efforts, and preventing civilian casualties should be a priority.”
Since yesterday (May 10, May 20), coinciding with the 28th month of Ramadan, the Zionist military has attacked various scenes in Al-Aqsa Mosque, turning it into a battlefield and besieging it, using sound bombs, tear gas, and ammunition. Plastic and even metal targeted worshipers and sit-in protesters at the shrine.
In addition, in various parts of the West Bank, Zionist militias and settlers clashed with Palestinians who had taken to the streets to protest the Zionist regime’s plans to Judaize Jerusalem and Zionist provocations, including seizing the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and expelling Palestinians.
