Russia fired ballistic missiles and cruise missiles in a new exercise, the Russian news network Rashatodi reported. Iran’s ballistic missiles have a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles), meaning they can reach US bases in the region as well as targets in Israel.
Reuters also wrote that Iran warned of a “shocking” response to any action by Israel, which opposes the efforts of world powers to revive the 2015 Tehran nuclear deal. At the same time, five cruise missiles and armed drones attacked predetermined targets.
The Zionist newspaper “Jerusalem Post” also wrote in a report that Iran is showing its missile capability as part of the “Great Prophet-17” exercise. According to the newspaper, Iran trained with missiles, UAVs and other weapons on the second day of the exercise. At this stage of the exercise, surface-to-surface ballistic missiles hit predetermined targets. Iran has also said it has simulated hypothetical enemy floating targets destroyed by surface-to-surface and coast-to-sea missiles.
According to this report, the second day of the 17th Prophet (PBUH) 17th exercise began on Monday, December 20, and lasted for five days on the shores of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the general area of Hormozgan, Bushehr and Khuzestan provinces with the presence of ground forces. The navy and air force of the IRGC, as well as some units of the people, are the basis for mobilizing the oppressed.
