According to “Sputnik” news agency, according to the announcement of the Dutch police, these protesters were arrested in connection with the demonstration that they held on Saturday at Amsterdam’s “Schiphol” airport, the largest airport in the country, in protest against the worsening measures of climate change.
According to the Dutch press, a police spokesperson said: “All these protesters have committed a criminal offense.”
The Netherlands, which apparently claims to support freedom of speech and the right to assemble and protest, based on this claim, along with its other Western allies, has supported unrest in Iran.
The spokesperson of the Dutch police stated that the situation of the detained protesters is under investigation and the public prosecutor of the Netherlands is going to take the next decisions about them.
According to the Sputnik news agency, on Saturday, about a hundred protesters of the movements supporting climate change in the Netherlands entered Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and sat on a runway in front of the wheels of several private planes to stop them from flying.
Another group of climate change protesters also demonstrated in the shopping center of this airport.
In the middle of October, the Netherlands also witnessed protests against the increase in energy prices and the inability of the country’s government to contain the economic recession. On October 7th, the government of this country asked all its citizens to leave Iran and refrain from traveling to Iran due to what it called “objections to the murder of Mahsa Amini” with the aim of blackmailing Iran’s internal situation.
