The arrest of dozens of government officials in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s anti-corruption control and anti-corruption organization (Nazah) in Saudi Arabia announced the arrest of 78 people in several ministries on charges of bribery, abuse of power, money laundering and fraud.
This organization announced on its Twitter page that it conducted 3207 surveillance rounds during the last month and arrested 78 people out of 116 people investigated.
The Saudi Corruption Control and Combating Organization emphasized that these employees were from the ministries of defense, health, justice, municipality, rural districts and housing.
This organization further added: These people were arrested on charges of bribery, abuse of power, money laundering and forgery.
This Saudi organization asked citizens to report any suspicions of financial or administrative corruption through various means of communication.
The Saudi Anti-Corruption Control and Anti-Corruption Organization (Nazah) recently announced that this organization has arrested 41 government officials, including employees of the ministries of interior and defense and citizens, on charges of corruption.
The so-called anti-corruption organization in Saudi Arabia has continued to investigate many cases for years, and this has led to the conviction of hundreds of current and former employees in various government departments and many citizens and immigrants.
Saudi Arabia periodically announces corruption cases involving officials, officers, businessmen and civil servants.
The Saudi Anti-Corruption Control and Anti-Corruption Organization recently revealed that in 2021, it began its anti-corruption powers and duties and conducted 34,825 rounds of surveillance and investigated 7,648 suspects in administrative, criminal and financial cases. During this investigation, 2460 accused were arrested and referred to the judiciary to complete the normal procedures in this country.
Saudi authorities intensified their inspection and surveillance campaigns over the past months and presented hundreds of cases to the judiciary, in which hundreds of people, including the prince, officers and officials of government institutions, were sentenced to imprisonment and fines.
Saudi authorities have also arrested a number of opponents in this country on several occasions in recent years under the pretext of fighting corruption.
“Salman bin Abdulaziz”, the king of Saudi Arabia, ordered the formation of an anti-corruption organization headed by his son “Mohammed bin Salman”, the crown prince of this country in 2016, and dozens of current and former Saudi princes and officials were arrested.
