The prosecutor in the case of the murder of a British lawmaker said that the accused had confessed to being affiliated with the ISIL terrorist group.
Ali Harbi Ali, accused of killing David Ames, a member of the House of Commons, has confessed to being a member of the ISIS terrorist group.
According to the Arvan News website, James Cable, the prosecutor in charge of the Ames murder case, said on Thursday that Ali Harbi Ali was charged in today’s court hearing.
The British judicial official added that in this court session, this person admitted that he is “affiliated with ISIL”.
Nick Price, head of the Special Crimes and Counter-Terrorism Division of the British Royal Court, said the 25-year-old defendant had been “preparing for this terrorist act” in the United States since 2019.
