The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria reported 40 bombings by terrorists in the Idlib region of Syria. According to Sputnik, Alexander Karpov, deputy director of the Russian Defense Ministry’s “Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria,” told a news conference that forces affiliated with a US-backed terrorist group known as Jabhat al-Nusra had reduced the Idlib tension in Syria. They fired 40 times in the last 24 hours.
“Forty times the shelling of the Idlib de-escalation zone has been recorded by the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists.” he said precisely. In the provinces of Idlib (16 attacks), Latakia (17), Aleppo (5), and Hama (2).
He also noted that according to the Syrian side, the total number of attacks was 30.
Emphasizing that no artillery attacks have been reported in the past 24 hours by illegal Turkish-backed armed groups, Karpov said Russian army police units continue to escort vehicles on the M-4 highway between al-Raqqa and al-Hasakah provinces.
It is worth mentioning that the Reconciliation Center of the warring parties in Syria, affiliated to the Russian Ministry of Defense, was established in February 2016. Its tasks include signing agreements on illegal armed group agreements and individual agreements to join the ceasefire regime, as well as coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid.
