Russia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations announced on Wednesday that Britain prevented a Russian speaker from speaking at the Security Council about Ukraine.
According to the statement of the Russian delegation in the United Nations, the main topic of this meeting of the Security Council was the discussion on the agreement related to the export of grains from the Black Sea ports, which was not extended by Russia before.
The Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations emphasized that Russia does not need to discuss this issue in the United Nations. This country expresses its position on the export of grain in the Black Sea ports.
In response, Russia’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations announced that Russia refused to speak at the UN Security Council meeting about the grain agreement, which was requested by Western countries.
Russia recently announced that it will withdraw from the grain export agreement with Ukraine due to the non-fulfillment of the country’s demands regarding the export of its agricultural products.
The grain initiative is an integral part of the agreement concluded with Russia. The memorandum of understanding between Russia and the United Nations, which was designed for 3 years, included the removal of the blockade of the export of Russian food and chemical fertilizers.
Also, based on this agreement, the reconnection of the Agricultural Bank of Russia to SWIFT, the resumption of the supply of agricultural machinery, spare parts and services, the reconstruction of the ammonia pipeline, and a number of other measures were supposed to be carried out for Russia. But as Moscow has announced, this part of the agreement has not yet been implemented.
