Taliban: Western culture has no place in Afghanistan.
A senior Taliban official said: Afghanistan cannot be compared with European countries and has its own Islamic culture and norms.
Sohail Shaheen, the elected representative of the Taliban to the United Nations, made statements regarding the education of Afghan girls.
This senior Taliban official said: Afghanistan cannot be compared with European countries and has its own Islamic culture and norms.
He stated that the Taliban has no objection to the education of girls and added: We need time to implement Islamic laws and norms of the society so that we can solve all the existing problems.
This Taliban official told Fox News: “Taliban is not against girls’ education, and millions of girls are currently studying in elementary schools in Afghanistan, and women are also working in various ministries, such as the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Health.”
Shahin continued: We were never against the education of women and education is a universal right for all human beings.
Shaheen has once again announced that the Taliban is committed to the Doha Agreement and that no one will be allowed to use Afghanistan’s soil against America and other countries, and this is our commitment and policy that has not changed.
This Taliban official also said about Zawahiri’s death in Kabul: “Investigation has been started and the results will be announced after completion.”
In the end, he emphasized: “Taliban’s policy is clear and will not allow any group to use Afghan soil against another country.”
It has been more than 300 days that the Taliban has prevented girls from going to schools, and although this decision has brought strong international reactions, the Taliban’s decision to close schools for girls still stands.
