Taliban spokesman: America prevents us from being recognized.
The spokesperson of the Taliban stated that we want official interaction with the international community and said: Some countries in the region and Islamic countries are not interested in recognizing the ruling body of Afghanistan due to the considerations they have with the United States.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said: The West, especially the United States, do not want the new ruling body of Afghanistan to be recognized.
In an interview with Turkish media, Mujahid added: “Some countries in the region and Islamic countries are not interested in recognizing the Islamic Emirates due to their concerns with America.”
Meanwhile, Mujahid requested America and Europe to establish good relations with Afghanistan.
Zabihullah Mujahid said: “The West does not allow an Islamic government to be recognized, and despite the fact that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is doing its best, unfortunately some pressures are applied.”
Previously, on the anniversary of America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban spokesman said: The ruling body of Afghanistan wants official interaction with the international community.
Mujahid said: “America failed in Afghanistan and suffered a heavy political and economic cost, and because of this, they may not be ready to officially interact with us.”
He added: But official interaction between the two countries of Afghanistan and the United States will benefit both countries and the region.
The Taliban spokesperson further pointed to the group’s foreign policy and said: “The policy of the Islamic Emirate is to interact with all countries based on mutual respect, and no one has the right to violate the independence of Afghanistan.”
