Taliban Interior Minister: We do not consider the United States as our enemy.
The interior minister of the Taliban interim government said: “We do not consider the United States as our enemy and in the future we will have good relations with Washington and other countries in the world.”
In an interview with an American network, Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani spoke about the Taliban’s desire for relations with countries around the world, especially the United States, and the reopening of schools.
Asked if the Taliban still saw the United States as their enemy, Haqqani told Cyanan News Network: “At the moment we do not look at them as enemies and we have talked about diplomacy over and over again. “It’s time to talk about diplomacy.”
The Taliban interior minister stressed that the group will have good relations with the United States and other countries in the future.
Referring to the Doha agreement between the Taliban and the United States, he stressed that the Taliban adhered to the agreement and that Afghanistan would never be a terrorist threat to Washington.
“Work is underway on the mechanism for reopening girls ‘schools in Afghanistan, and we must create the conditions in which we can ensure the dignity and security of girls,” Haqqani said in another interview on the reopening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan.
He further stressed that no one is against the education of girls and the people of Afghanistan will soon hear good news about this issue.
The United States has offered a $ 10 million ransom for the arrest of Sirajuddin Haqqani, and he remains on the terrorist list.
