Syrian Representative: The US goal is to turn Ukraine into a center of terrorism.
According to a News agency on Tuesday morning from Al-Ahd website, Mohannad Alhaj Ali added: “The way Zelensky appears in the media in informal clothes is to attract the attention of the world public opinion and to provoke the people of Europe and America against Russia.” His goal is to turn Ukraine into a terrorist hub like Idlib province in Syria.
The Syrian MP added: “NATO is in a weak position right now, and this weakness has led the United States to resort to proxy and propaganda war, but Russia is ready for any eventuality.”
Al-Hajj Ali also said that what is surprising is that the same journalists and the same networks that took part in shedding the blood of the Syrian people are now taking part in the war against Russia, which protects its citizens and national security.
He stressed that the media war that Syria was facing is the same war that Russia is facing today.
“Russia is achieving its goals in Ukraine,” Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Meqdad told Al-Mayadin, stressing that the West is a major sponsor of terrorism in Syria.
In the early hours of last Thursday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin officially announced a “special military operation” against Ukraine.
Russia has said that its operation in Ukraine is not the beginning of a war, but an attempt to prevent a world war.
But many countries around the world, including Europe and the United States, immediately condemned Russia’s move as a war against Ukraine and began to redouble their diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia.
