Bashar al-Assad: Syria has the necessary ability to overcome the siege.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad visited the industrial city of Adra yesterday and stressed that Syria has the potential to create more investment and employment opportunities.
The Syrian president said that our country also has real possibilities and capabilities to overcome the siege and reduce its effects.
During a visit to a number of facilities and factories in the city, which were established during the war and siege, Bashar al-Assad said that the owners of these factories succeeded in their activities despite many problems and challenges.
During his visit to the city, the Syrian president met with its artisans and talked to them about how to improve production and overcome the obstacles facing industry in Syria.
This is Bashar al-Assad’s second visit to an industrial city in a month, and last May he visited the industrial city of Hasia on the outskirts of Homs.
At the end of March, the Syrian president called for the trial and punishment of traders who benefit from the devaluation of the Syrian currency, citing a foreign war against the country’s national currency.
