Syria has enough votes to regain its seat in the Arab League.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi stated that Syria will soon return to the Arab League and emphasized: All Arab countries are involved in ending the Syrian crisis, but there are differences regarding the approach.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister added: Syria has enough votes to regain its seat among the 22 members of the Union. Syria’s return to the Union will happen; But this would be a very simple beginning of a very long process due to the complexity of the twelve-year Syrian crisis.
He declared: Syria’s readiness to make a real progress will help it to gain the decisive support of the Arabs to press for the end of the Western sanctions, which is a big obstacle to start reconstruction efforts.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister believes that the United States supports the resolution of the Syrian crisis according to Security Council Resolution 2254.
Ayman Safadi considered it impossible to solve the Syrian crisis without the support of the international community.
