Syria and Pakistan have signed a trade agreement.
News sources announced on Sunday the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the development of trade and economic relations and investment projects between Damascus and Islamabad.

According to the report, the five-year memorandum aims to create a mechanism to pursue the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries, especially in the implementation of investment projects, trade agreements, exhibitions and conferences, and joint cooperation.
After signing the memorandum, which was signed by Pakistani Ambassador to Damascus Saeed Mohammad Khan, Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Samar Al-Khalil stressed that joint working committees would be an important tool to enhance trade relations between the two countries and increase investment and trade. .
The Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, noting that the volume of trade between the two countries in the first nine months of this year has increased by 100% compared to the same period last year, said: “Relations between the two countries have seen significant progress in economic and trade.”
Referring to the brotherly and well-established relations between Islamabad and Damascus, the Pakistani ambassador said: “This memorandum will open new horizons for economic cooperation and bilateral trade.”
