According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), Bassem Mansour, the head of the Syrian Civil Aviation Organization, announced that he agreed to the request of Saudi Arabia to land a plane carrying humanitarian aid to the Syrian earthquake victims at the Damascus airport.
Based on this report, Bassem Mansour said that so far 21 countries have requested to land at Syrian airports in order to send humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims, among which 4 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Sudan and Belarus, submitted their request today, which was accepted. It was agreed.
The head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Syria said: Syria welcomes and thanks anyone who wants to help the earthquake victims and will agree to the request of landing the planes of the countries that want to help.
At the same time, Mansour said that so far 61 planes carrying humanitarian aid have landed in Syrian airports.
