Sweden emphasizes support for Palestine.
The Swedish Foreign Minister met with the President of the Palestinian Authority on Tuesday and reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people.
During a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday, Swedish Foreign Minister Anne Lindy emphasized her country’s support for peace and stability based on a two-state solution, according to the International Group of News.
During the meeting, Abbas stressed the need for a comprehensive ceasefire and an end to the Zionist regime’s hostile actions against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It was to end the occupation.
He also called for pressure on the Zionist occupiers to stop sabotaging the elections in occupied Jerusalem.
The Swedish Foreign Minister also stressed his country’s desire to strengthen friendship with the Palestinian people and said that Sweden would continue to support the Palestinian people in establishing Palestinian government organizations.
