Survey; The decisive support of the Palestinians to the armed groups in the West Bank.
According to the latest survey conducted by the Palestinian Center for Political and Christian Studies, which was conducted from June 7 to 11 in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, most Palestinians agree with the formation of armed groups to confront the Zionist occupation in the occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestine Information Center, 71 percent of Palestinians agree with the formation of groups such as “Arin al-Asud” and “Genin Battalion”, provided that these groups are not under the orders of the self-governing organization and are not part of the official security forces.
Also, 80% of the people participating in this survey were against the surrender and disarmament of the current groups against the self-governing organizations, and only 16% agreed with this issue.
86% of the people questioned in this survey emphasized that the Palestinian Authority has no right to arrest people from armed groups under the pretext of confronting the occupiers.
In this survey, 58 percent believed that armed groups have developed in other areas of the West Bank, and 50 percent predicted the deterioration of the security situation until the beginning of the third intifada.
Another part of the results of this survey indicates that if the presidential elections are held with the presence of Abu Mazen and Ismail Haniyeh, the participation rate will be 46%, and of these, 56% will vote for Haniyeh and 33% will vote for Abumazen.
Also, the results of this survey about the Palestinian parliamentary elections indicate the participation of 66%, in which 34% of the parliamentary seats will go to Hamas and 31% to Fatah.
63% of people have emphasized that the survival of the self-governing organization is in the interest of the Zionist regime, and 34% have declared that its destruction is in the interest of this regime.
51% of the people who participated in this survey believed that the Palestinian people will be able to fully take back their land in the future and that the refugees will return, but 45% disagreed with this issue.
35% of Palestinians believe that the separation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip is the most dangerous event after the Nakbat for the Palestinian people, 32% have described the occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in 1967, and 25% as the continuation of the problem of refugees as the worst problem.
Another result of this survey is that 24% of Palestinians consider the establishment of Islamic groups such as Islamic Jihad and Hamas to be the best development for the Palestinian people after the Nakba, 18% to establish the Palestine Liberation Organization, and 14% to establish self-governing organizations in the 90s of the last century. And 9% described the establishment of the Fatah movement in the 60s as the best event.
