Sudan; “The land of coups” and the people being victims of the power war of generals.
The internal crisis and the recent conflicts in Sudan between the army and the group called “Rapid Reaction Forces”, which many describe as a “power war between two generals”, are at the top of the world and regional media news these days.
Since Saturday, these clashes between the army under the command of “Abd al-Fattah al-Barhan” and the rapid reaction forces under the command of “Mohammed Hamdan Daghlo” nicknamed “Hamidati” have put Sudan on the brink of a major tension, which some believe may lead to a catastrophic civil war. have; A war in which the people will be the losers and victims like all previous eras.
What is happening in Sudan?
The story of the conflicts is due to the fact that in the last few months, the Sudanese army demanded the integration of the Rapid Support Forces, which is considered a militia group, into the army. But Hamidti and the forces under his command opposed this idea and announced that at least 10 years are needed to integrate the rapid reaction forces into the army. The main problem is that the rapid reaction forces have exceeded the authority of the army in their performance, and therefore the emergence of differences between the two sides was inevitable.
What is certain is that both main parties of this conflict have their own political motives and ambitions to seize power, and accordingly, tensions are expected to continue indefinitely. Of course, some initiatives have also been presented by foreign parties such as the United Nations and the African Union and some Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to solve the Sudan crisis.
