Stoltenberg: The war in Ukraine has emptied NATO’s weapons warehouses.
According to Reuters, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed at the “Industrial Conference” in Germany that the war in Ukraine has emptied NATO’s weapons stockpiles and all countries should make up for these shortages by producing more.
Stoltenberg said: “After a year of supplying weapons to Kyiv, NATO needs a stronger industry, not only in Germany but in all NATO countries, to fill the depleted arms and ammunition stocks.”
However, he stressed that “we must continue to support Ukraine” and claimed that “only Ukraine’s victory on the battlefield can lead to a just and lasting peace.”
