The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque was held today and issued a statement about the developments of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Saudi news agency WAS, the extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque was held this Saturday evening, hosted by Saudi Arabia, and at the end, the attendees issued a statement warning the Zionist regime against creating a religious war.
In this statement, the executive committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the aggression of the Zionist regime in Al-Aqsa Mosque in recent days.
This organization assessed the actions of the Zionist regime army in Al-Aqsa Mosque as inciting the feelings of Muslims around the world, attacking the existing legal and historical situation and seriously violating international laws and relevant UN resolutions, and warned the Zionist regime of the consequences of such actions.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also held the Zionist regime responsible for the consequences of these dangerous provocative actions and emphasized that these aggressions and violations will lead to a religious war and this event will overshadow international security and peace.
This organization further asked the international community and especially the United Nations Security Council to assume its responsibilities as the official responsible for maintaining international peace and security and to take immediate measures in order to prevent and stop the dangerous escalation of tension by the occupying Israeli regime.
At the end of its statement, the executive committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation asked the member countries of this organization and its secretariat to put immediate action to deal with the crimes of the Zionists on their agenda and by sending letters to international institutions, including the Security Council, to provide a International protection for the Palestinian nation, occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque against the illegal actions of the Zionists to change the existing legal and historical status of these Islamic holy places.
