Soft power; America’s tool to drive a wedge between Russia and Central Asia.
The Russian Foreign Minister said that the United States intends to use “soft power” to create a gap between Moscow and the countries of Central Asia, which have friendly relations.
“Sergei Lavrov”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, in an interview with “Russia 24” TV channel, expressed some things about the West’s efforts to force Central Asian countries to sever relations with these countries.
Regarding Central Asian countries, he said: In principle, we are discussing this matter with our friends in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the security services. This is directly related to the security of countries. For years, Westerners have tried to impose pro-American, European and NATO NGOs there.
As an example, Lavrov pointed to structures such as the United States Agency for International Development, which work under the auspices of the United States Department of State and are active in the field of soft warfare.
According to Lavrov, the West wants to question, through the means of “soft power”, at least the further development of alliance and friendly relations between Russia and its neighbors, including some Central Asian countries.
He emphasized: But we see no reason to believe that these efforts of the West have caused a serious positive reaction.
Lavrov added: “Our friends know what goals the West pursues in the common space, so they want to create other mechanisms aimed at ensuring the further development of convergence projects in forms that are not under the influence of the West and are safe from illegal influence from outside.” do
According to Lavrov’s words, wherever the West is present in the former Soviet Union, it always works against Russia.
