Senior US Legislator: Biden has no deterrent power against Russia.
Emphasizing the US president’s failure against Russia, the senior Republican lawmaker said that the US enemies are watching the situation in the Baltics.
“President Joe Biden and the US government have not imposed any sanctions against Russia,” Michael Michael McCall, a senior Republican lawmaker, told the House Foreign Affairs Committee Sunday night.
“The rope is being prepared at the same time as we are talking about Ukraine,” McCall said in an interview with ABC News, according to the News Max website. “This is a dangerous time and it will be the biggest invasion of Europe since World War II.”
There was no deterrent to the invasion, and Afghanistan was a key moment because Russian President Vladimir Putin and other US enemies saw that weakness, McCall said. McCall went on to say he was concerned about the growing closeness between China and Russia.
“The most shocking sight of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Putin holding hands was at the Olympics,” McCall said. The object is watching events. If Putin can go to Ukraine without resistance, he will surely take over Taiwan. “He always wants that.”
He said Iran was watching, as did North Korea, whose leader, Kim Jong Un, fired two supersonic missiles this month.
McCall further claimed that if the United States did not stop Putin, it was possible that he could attack Ukraine and claim victory.
McCall said that if Russia invades Ukraine and sanctions are imposed, there are a number of reactions Putin could take, and a refugee crisis could ensue.
Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, on Sunday condemned the continuing claims and panic in the US media about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, saying: “Frenzy and panic continue. Within a week and cause three hundred thousand civilian casualties? [And to say that] we say all these things on the basis of information sources that we can not disclose. Does it make good sense for Americans and Britons? “This is also wrong with Russia and Ukraine.”
