“We consider Turkey an Islamic country,” said a senior Taliban negotiator. But we consider their presence an occupation and if they want to stay in Afghanistan, we will fight them like the United States.
Maulvi Khairullah Khairkhah, a senior member of the Taliban negotiator, during a recent visit to Tehran by Taliban representatives and participating in inter-Afghan talks, asked Press TV about the Taliban’s position on important issues such as ISIS, women’s rights, Afghan Shiite rights, relations It responded to its neighbors and the group’s governing policies if it gained control of Afghanistan and formed an inclusive government.
Answering the challenging questions of Mohsen Islamzadeh, an Iranian researcher and documentary filmmaker as the host of Press TV’s “Face to Face” program, Khairullah Khairkhah said of the Taliban’s view of ISIL: “The Taliban have claimed many martyrs since confronting ISIL.” There is a big difference between ISIS and the Islamic Emirate. The views, tastes and beliefs of ISIL have not been found in any Afghan group that considers Muslim life and property to be lawful. We also say that there is no such belief in the Islamic Emirate that we consider Muslim property and life to be lawful and lawful. Our beliefs are clear to everyone, and during the 20 years of jihad in different parts of Afghanistan, people have clearly witnessed the behavior, beliefs and interaction of the Islamic UAE, and this kind of behavior has not been observed by us. Their beliefs (ISIS) are deviant and Islamic law does not allow us to believe in such positions.
Khairkhah said about the presence of ISIS in Badakhshan: If someone came to Badakhshan as an immigrant and is there, we should look for a solution to return. We are committed to encouraging them to return to their country. We have to solve this problem; Whether through dialogue or on their own. Even if they stay there as legal immigrants, they must comply with immigration laws. We also do not want our country to endanger the security of others, and those who are the cause of danger must return to their countries, and our land must not be abused.
A senior Taliban official in response to the question of whether it is true that the Taliban has not been fighting ISIS for six months? He said: Where should we fight ISIS? Is ISIS central to us fighting them? They are in Kabul hotels and do not have a specific center in the provinces of Afghanistan. If they had, the Taliban would have fought them. ISIS is nowhere else and is only in Kabul, and the government uses them for intelligence.
