Senior Hamas member: It is not right to make progress in the prisoner exchange between Hamas and Tel Aviv.
A senior member of the Hamas movement stated in a speech: The published news about the progress in the case of the exchange of prisoners between the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime is not true.
Zaher Jabarin, a senior member of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement, reacted to media reports, especially in the Saudi media, about progress in the prisoner exchange case with the Zionist regime.
According to the report, the senior Hamas member said in this regard: “It is not right to make progress in the case of the exchange of prisoners with the Zionist regime.” These are all rumors that are aimed at putting pressure on the resistance.
He added: “Hamas Islamic Resistance Group will not be affected by these rumors. Recently, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar published an article on the issue of the exchange of prisoners between the Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas and the Zionist regime. The daily writes that the Zionist regime has made excessive demands regarding the exchange of prisoners with Hamas.
Al-Akhbar also reported that the UN special envoy to West Asia, Tour Wisland, recently sent a message from the Zionist regime to the officials of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement.
The newspaper said that the UN official told Hamas officials that until the release of Israeli prisoners, the regime would not allow the reopening of crossings or the entry of international aid into Gaza and would prevent the reconstruction of the area.
Al-Akhbar continues: The Zionist regime wants to give Hamas concessions in the case of the exchange of prisoners, to reduce the number of prisoners who request their release, and to reduce other conditions. Hamas has categorically rejected this request.
