Saudi coalition tries to stop UN flights to Sanaa airport.
The deputy head of the Yemeni National Salvation Government aviation authority said that in its latest crime, the Saudi coalition is trying to stop the flight of UN planes to Sanaa airport.
Raed Jabal, deputy head of the Yemeni National Salvation Government aviation authority, denied allegations by the Saudi-Emirati aggressor coalition about Sanaa International Airport.
Sputnik news agency quoted Jabal as saying that the aggressor coalition had resorted to lies, blackmail and distortion of the truth about Sanaa airport to justify its ongoing attacks.
He stressed that the aim of the aggressor coalition’s claims is to stop the flights and services that UN planes and humanitarian organizations provide to the Yemeni people.
The Yemeni official noted that what the coalition is promoting these days is a prelude to targeting the airport; Because according to international treaties, targeting this civilian airport is prohibited.
The Saudi Al-Arabiya network released a video file yesterday justifying the airstrikes of the aggressor coalition, claiming that Yemeni forces had turned Sanaa Airport into a military barracks.
Jebel also stressed that the video, which is being circulated on the networks of the aggressor coalition, was recorded at the military airport, which is located next to the civilian airport in Sanaa.
The Saudi-Emirati coalition has been blocking flights to Sanaa airport since August 2016, except for flights belonging to the United Nations or aid agencies.
