An Omani delegation arrived in Sanaa on June 7 to negotiate with the Yemeni National Salvation Government and left the city two days ago (Friday). In this regard, Jalal al-Rawishan, Deputy Defense and Security Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government, praised Oman’s humanitarian role since the beginning of the Saudi coalition’s attacks on Yemen in April 2015.
According to Al-Masira, he said that the aggressor coalition is trying to exchange humanitarian cases with military and security cases because it has realized the failure of these cases.
Al-Rawishan stressed that the humanitarian case has nothing to do with security or political issues and that the ball is now in the court of the aggressor to accept the solution offered by Sanaa.
He added: “The reopening of Sanaa airport and the port of Al-Hudaidah are purely human issues. We have not surrendered during the past years and it is not possible for us to surrender in the future.”
“Our hand is long for an honorable peace that preserves the sacrifices of the Yemenis over the past few years,” al-Rawishan said. The forces of the aggressor coalition tested us in the military battle, and our nation recorded a mythical endurance during these six years. The coalition found by our nation, which has not surrendered in the last six years, will not surrender in the future.
On Saturday (yesterday), after the joint statement of the Americans, Europeans, and Saudis regarding the lifting of the siege of Sanaa airport and Al-Hudaidah port in exchange for stopping the operation to liberate Ma’rib, the Foreign Ministry of the resigned government of Mansour Hadi opposed the issuance of this statement.
