Saudi Arabia’s reaction to the desecration of the Quran in Sweden.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia condemned the action of the Swedish government in granting permission to desecrate the Quran to extremists and announced that it will summon the Swedish ambassador.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia states: “Saudi Arabia condemns and rejects the action of the Swedish authorities in granting permission to extremists to burn a copy of the Quran.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia added that the country will summon the charge d’affaires of the Swedish Embassy and ask the Swedish government to stop all actions that are against all religious teachings.

On Wednesday, the Swedish police announced the issuance of a permit to hold a protest rally outside the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm, and some media reported that the organizers of this protest rally intend to burn the Muslim holy books again. This action was done for the second time by this Iraqi-Swedish citizen today. After that, the Iraqi government, while holding an emergency meeting regarding the renewed desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, called its ambassador from Stockholm and asked the Swedish ambassador to leave Baghdad.
