Saudi Arabia’s action against a Hezbollah affiliated charity.
Official sources in Saudi Arabia announced this evening (Wednesday) that Riyadh has declared the Al-Qarz al-Hassan Foundation in Lebanon a terrorist organization.
Riyadh linked the foundation to the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, claiming that the association manages Hezbollah money and finances the movement, including in military matters.
Saudi Arabia also accused the Hezbollah of calling the movement a terrorist organization and said that all of the foundation’s assets in Saudi Arabia would be frozen and that it would be prohibited from interacting with the union, either directly or indirectly.
Riyadh has claimed that the Lebanese Hezbollah movement has not yet responded to the announcement.
Saudi Arabia has previously placed several companies and individuals linked to the Hezbollah movement on its sanctions list.
