Today (Thursday), Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud chaired a meeting of the Quartet of Arab Ministers to review developments related to the so-called crisis with Iran, on the sidelines of the 156th, the official Saudi news agency (WAS) reported. The Arab League Council met in Cairo.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Abu al-Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif al-Zayani, and Emirati Adviser Shahan al-Marr.
The members present at the meeting, while reiterating their usual accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, accused Tehran of so-called sabotage interventions, financing of Houthis and extremist terrorist groups.
On the other hand, the most important developments in Iran’s nuclear program were discussed at the meeting, and the members present intervened in Iran’s affairs, “the importance of establishing the necessary mechanisms for immediate and comprehensive inspection of all Iranian nuclear sites” They demanded international laws and protocols.
The claims of the members present at the meeting are being made against Iran, while Saudi Arabia has already made similar demands.
Riyadh has repeatedly stated that it wants to be one of the main negotiators in Iran’s nuclear program, while Tehran has always insisted that the members of the IAEA Board be clear and unchangeable.
